Danny Bonaduce Is Ready to Rumble in Charity Event

Posted by Faith W on January 18, 2008

Tomorrow night Philadelphia area native Danny Bonaduce will get to beat up on someone and not get sued in Broadcast Brawl, a charity event for the Don Guanella School for developmentally disabled boys. Bonaduce, whose last fight of note was when he tossed Survivor’s Johnny Fairplay over his head at the Fox Reality Awards, will be facing Philadelphia DJ, Wired 96.5’s Justice. Justice has gotten himself a website called Beating Bonaduce, which tracks all the training his has done to date to hold his own against the red-haired child actor/reality tv personality. Danny, who has his own radio show, is an amateur boxer and to date is undefeated. For more information on the charity event, click here .

American Idol Has Been Good to Jennifer Hudson

Posted by Faith W on January 18, 2008

While American Idol has led to recognizability but poor record sales for many of its winners and runner’s up, being an Idol loser alum has led to great things for Jennifer Hudson.

Not one to rest on the laurels of winning an Academy Award in 2006 for her work in Dreamgirls, Jennifer has been very busy with other film projects, set to be released this year. She will be in Winged Creatures with Forest Whitaker and Dakota Fanning, and she also has a role in the Sex and the City Movie, starring Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Sarah Jessica Parker.  She is also currently in negotiations to lead the cast of upcoming film, Tyler Perry’s The Family That Preys Together, set to be released in 2008 also. And she is currently filming The Secret Life of Bees, based on the novel by Sue Monk Kidd.

And as if she hasn’t been busy enough, she has also managed to put together a new album, called Depreciate, which will also drop this year. Maybe it doesn’t necessarily pay to win  after all.
