“Little People Big World Star” Found Not Guilty
Posted by Faith W on January 12, 2008
Matt Roloff, star of the TLC reality show Little People, Big World was found not guilty of DUI by a Washington County, Oregon judge on January 10th, after the jury for the case was dismissed for violation court rules.
The jury on the case deliberated three hours before going home for the evening on Wednesday. When they returned the next day, they asked questions that led the judge to conclude that they had looked up legal terms on the internet, one of the things they were specifically instructed not to do.
After the jury was dismissed, Roloff dismissed his right to a jury trial, and petitioned the judge for a directed verdict. The judge found Mr. Roloff not guilty.

matt’s verdict was not on the merits but rather on a technicality. Was a breathalizer administered at the time of arrest?

DUI – Driving under the influence does not mean alcohol. As you recall Matt had just been diagnosted with Diabetes, perhaps it was the Rx that caused the problem.

If he was not guilty, why didn’t he take the breathalizer at the police station? He refused because he said the police officer was not being fair. I have no doubt he was guilty and it makes me sick. Shame on him.

Well I think after the first one he thought it best he not take the test , probably a wise decision on his part .Don’t get sick Chris , there are 1600 crackheads about to get out of prison because of a flaw in the law .

Hey Matt I didn’t realize being a little person meant you were born without a spine. How about a little personal responsibility for your actions.

The defense in this case was weak at best.
Asking the cop why he didn’t perform the hop test on Matt.
The guy can barely walk let alone hop.
What would that prove lol.
I think the smell of alcohol, darting eyes and weaving through
traffic is more than enough resonable suspicion.

Matt didn’t outright refuse a breathalizer test, he only asked that another cop administer it. The cop put down though that he refused since he didn’t want the arresting cop to do it. The defense was very good, which is why he was found not guilty. Its a shame that they did find him guilty on the refusing the breath test since he didn’t refuse, just requested for a third party to administer it.

Typical drunk and “disabled” person…he is a jerk, and used his “disability” to get off…he should be put in prison for several years…I will never watch that show again…and will let the sponsors know it…as I hope others will as well…
