According to Bret Michaels’ web page, the rocker will try his hand at reality tv romance January 13th on Rock of Love 2.

Now Casting for The Black Woman’s Guide to Marrying Well

This one is for all you women who don’t think that I Love New York’s Chance, Real, Buddha and The Entertainer are quite who you are looking for in Mr. Right. Casting calls are being held for The Black Woman’s Guide to Marrying Well. Here is the show’s premise:

“What does it take for an educated, beautiful, intelligent, well rounded, single black woman to find an equally captivating man? Why are there more of us in college and more of our black men in jail? Should we be dating interracially and who’s our option if we don’t? And, when we’re still in our 40s not married, who are our men marrying? This show chronicles the lives of young, gifted, professional black women who want to know the secrets to marrying well.”

Doesn’t quite sound like they are looking for another New York-type, huh?

“We, at Clean Slate Films, will be casting our new reality television show, “The Black Woman’s Guide to Marrying Well!” If you are an African-American woman between the ages of 20 and 65, are single, professional, and want to know what it takes to a man of equal value who loves, appreciates, and intends to marry you, come to one of our castings in January and audition for the show. I will be posting casting dates and locations in the next posting. Be sure to come with your picture, resume, and story. Be prepared to go on camera to tell our producers why you should be one of 7 women trying to figure out how as an educated, ambitious, beautiful, talented black woman, you can MARRY WELL!!!!”

Auditions will be held in  Ft. Lauderdale, Little Rock, Baltimore, Hartford, Atlanta, LA, Dallas and Cincinnati January through March.

This Season’s American Idol Will Focus on the Singing, Not the Stars

In an article in the New York Daily News, American Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe said that this year the focus of the show will be less on the celebrity guests, and will go back to its original roots and let the talent be star of the show.

In the past American Idol has given birth to the successful musical careers Carrie Underwood,  Fantasia and Kelly Clarkson. However, this season winner Jordin Sparks‘ CD has sparked little interest. Clearly something was amiss this season when viewers voted for tone-deaf Sanjaya every week just to be amused by his hairstyle and William Hung-like talent.

Hopefully all the comedic performances will be kept in the audition shows, and this season Idol will raise the bar to meet their standards of previous seasons.

Cheezy Clears The Air About The Clip Show

You know something is bugging you when you feel the need to clear the air about it before most people even know what you’re talking about, but that’s what Cheezy did when he posted this bulletin on MySpace earlier this week.

“ Something I desperately need to clear up about the Clip Show……..

I swear to God that my pulling down my boxers and mooning New York and It was not a move that I did for sex appeal. THE REASON I did that was because New York just told It how she whooped my ass in the photoshoot and he didn’t believe her. She them asked me to show him how red my ass was and I refused to show another guy my ass. She then begged me to and I got soft, so I gave them a quick glimpse. She was making a face cause of how red and bruised it was….to clarify once again, my ass is small and adorable, not a hideous site as it was edited. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

They tried so hard to make me look like an unappealing jackass that they also cut out the limo scene on our way home from the date where New York was ALL OVER ME and fighting with It. I really wish they had that 24 hour cam like Big Brother, this show would have been A LOT different.

I will admit my “rap performance” to New York did kind of suck….I was really nervous cause I knew it was my one shot to show her how I can get on her level right before elimination. It was a lot longer and really sweet, and I was really excited to pick up a new skill! I’m perfect at it now. Mr. Wise, Chance, and Real watch out….My rap CD will be hitting shelves next year! Kidding….or am I???

And dammit I really liked my present also, it was pretty original, admit it!!! I actually used my heart and head instead of my wallet. Can’t say that for many of the other guys.

Anyway, those are my thoughts on the Clip show.”

L.A. Ink will be casting for a speed dating episode of their reality show on 12/18 in Hollywood. They need single men between the ages of 26-40 as well as women between the ages of 25-35. They are looking for looking for Conservative guys but all types are welcome.

SPLIT ENDS is NOW CASTING SEASON 3 for hair salons and hair stylists to APPEAR on the show. Stylists switch settings and roles. We’re looking for all kinds of stylists from the Inland Empire/Orange County who would like to represent their salon. MUST BE FROM THE INLAND EMPIRE AND ORANGE COUNTY!

AUDITIONS – Sunday, December 16th and Monday, December 17th NOON – 4pm

OPEN CALL – 3-4 Stylists from each salon who wish to appear on the show must come along for the audition with the stylist to be featured.
